Claria Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026

Recordings, transcripts, corrections, vocabulary, meeting questions and answers are stored in this app's local storage. Speech recognition and text processing use on-device engines by default. If you select a cloud API connection, the relevant audio segments or text (including context and vocabulary supplied to that task) are sent directly to your chosen provider. Its privacy, retention and billing policies apply. Claria does not use your content for advertising or model training. API keys are stored in this device's Keychain, excluded from iCloud and exported backups.

Microphone access is requested when you start recording. Record only when the participants are informed and the required consent has been obtained. System speech/Apple Intelligence models may need downloads managed by Apple. Optional Gemma, Qwen and Parakeet model downloads use Apple-hosted Background Assets in the App Store version. Development builds may download from Hugging Face and its delivery providers or import local model files. Download services receive network information such as your IP address; these requests contain no meeting content. Purchases and restores, when enabled, are handled by Apple.

You control sharing through the system share sheet. Sharing sends the selected content to the destination you choose. Diagnostic sharing is manual and includes app/OS versions, UI language and whether the Gemma runtime is included; it does not include recordings or transcript text. No analytics SDK is included.

Meeting deletion moves its files to Recently Deleted so it can be undone. You can permanently delete them there. Other history deletion removes the selected local entry. Device backups may include meeting data according to your system settings. New model installations and download checkpoints are excluded from backup. Export important recordings before deleting the app. iCloud backup is enabled by default when a signed build has iCloud access and your account has iCloud Drive enabled. Completed library snapshots upload in the background and new records from other devices are merged. Existing local record versions are kept. Turning backup off stops new snapshots; transfers already handed to iCloud may finish. iCloud snapshots include Recently Deleted and retain earlier versions. Local deletion does not delete those backups; manage them separately in iCloud Drive.

Full backups include original audio, meeting text, corrections, insights, questions, Recently Deleted and the vocabulary/history library. They exclude model downloads and purchase credentials. Backup files are not encrypted by Claria. You choose where to save them and can restore them by merging with the local library; existing record versions are kept. Keep exported backup files in a trusted location.

Contact benson.chuang@tsugas.com with privacy questions. Copies shared or backed up outside Claria must be removed from those destinations separately.

Qwen and Parakeet speech recognition on iOS pauses when the app enters the background. Microphone recording continues in the background. Imported-file transcription resumes when you return.

On Mac, optional system audio capture records audio from other applications together with the microphone. It requires system capture permission; Claria does not save screen video.

On iPhone and iPad, optional system audio capture uses the system broadcast picker. You start and stop capture through iOS. Claria saves available app audio and, if enabled, microphone audio; it discards video. Other apps may prevent audio capture. Return to Claria after stopping to import and transcribe the recording.
